Description
Due to the data explosion, traditional methods of data analysis are becoming increasingly obsolete. Big data analytics can help examine data, find patterns and gain insights. With the help of high computing power, data can be analyzed quickly and more efficiently than with traditional data analysis methods.
This course provides students with an understanding of the reasons for the data explosion, the attributes of big data, and how to extract useful information from large amounts of data. The course concludes with a discussion of the social implications of big data.
